About Hudson, Smart, Doud, Garvin, Wallace, & Related Familes
This website is in honor of Cora Lee Smart Doud, the mother of Janice Doud Wallace, who wrote and finished a short history of her family on 10 November 1960. This was 3 days after the election of Jack Kennedy for President and Lyndon Johnson for Vice-President.

Cora's mother was Nora "Ophelia" Hudson; her ancestry can be traced back to Henry Hudson b. 1500; Henry Hudson is kin to the explorer **Henry Hudson (at this website) who has the Hudson River in the US and Hudson Bay in Canada named
 after him.

Charles Hillery Doud, father of Janice Doud Wallace, is kin to **Mamie Eisenhower Doud--although this lineage has not been proven yet.

Janice's husband Carrol Don Wallace is distantly related to **William "Braveheart" Wallace; **William "Bigfoot" Wallace (at this website), Famous Texas Ranger; and **Lew Wallace, the author of "Ben Hur" (at this website); although these connections has not been made yet.
